I'm getting really sick of my digital camera. These photos are C-R-A-P. My apologies. This table was so fun in real life, but the pictures don't do it justice. I am going to have to do some major convincing over the next few months (ahem, Mr. Frankel) to be able to buy a REAL camera.

I apologize in advance for my short post. I have a few pictures of another fictitious table setting for you. I realized after I put everything away that I hadn't placed glassware on the table. Let's just imagine that the reason is because someone is still mixing drinks on my fabulous, new faux bamboo bar cart. Sound good?I

Table Setting of the Week

It's no secret that I love to set tables. While I wish I could tell you that my life is full of important tasks, and I don't have time to set fictitious tables, that is simply not the case. 

I decided to play "dress up" with our kitchen table last night. Here's the result:

The crooked taper candle is killing me. UGH. 

No guarantees that I will be able to pull off a table setting once a week EVERY week, but I'll do my best IF you, dear readers, like the idea. Thoughts???

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy February 14th! As I mentioned last week, Mr. Frankel and I don't do much to celebrate Valentine's Day, but I did use it as an excuse to use our china (which I mixed and matched), and our "good" flatware! I'm pretty happy with the overall look; I think the only thing I would do differently is maybe add some fuchsia or eggplant- colored flowers and some orange accents to go with the colors in the salad plate!  

The menu included:

-Salad

-Filet of Beef

-Steamed Broccoli

-Fudge Brownie 

I love setting tables so much; I'm thinking maybe I should do it more often.... and blog about it. I'm a big dork!!!!!

Twas the Night Before Christmas....

Twas the night before Christmas, and all over the place,

Was Christmas cheer to bring a smile to your face.

The table was set with precision and care,

And under the tree, not a spot left bare.

Luca lay snuggled up in bed,

While the adults enjoyed wine and cocktails instead.

Christmas Table Inspiration

Thank you, Country Living, for providing so many inspirational photos for my Christmas table! 

Love this idea!! I only have one kind of napkin ring; I could easily make my own. I'm sure Luca would be more than willing to help me with this project; she loves to eat greenery!  

Remember this post??!! This is exactly what I was envisioning, but with gold julep vases instead!
