Crazy for Tunics!!

Dear Lost J.Crew Tunic,


I've been searching for you for weeks. It's driving me insane; I'm looking in the same places over and over thinking you might suddenly turn up. Listen, if I left you at someone else's house they don't know you're there (trust me, I've called everyone). If I did, I promise it wasn't intentional. 


Honestly, you're one of my favorite articles of clothing. Alright, I love tutus too, but I can't exactly wear those on a daily basis. Other than the tutus, it's you, I swear. Please just come home. I'm dying to wear you; I'd even take you out for a nice dinner (maybe a bloody mary even) .


In the meantime I've been so upset and distraught I've started looking for a replacement. Don't worry, no other tunic could ever actually replace you, but I'm getting desperate, you see. 

I'm not sure if you can technically call it a tunic, but it's a beauty!

For the love of Maxi dresses....

The weather is finally warming up in the Midwest!!! Can I get an "amen"?!?! Aside from warmer temperatures and vitamin D, I love summer for the clothes!!! I always think it's funny when females say it's easier to hide a little weight gain in the winter because you can pack on the layers. Really??? I feel the exact opposite; there is nothing that makes me feel more bloated and sausage-like than adding on bulky sweaters and lots of clothes. In the summer,though, if I've eaten six (or seven) too many cookies, all I have to do is throw on a maxi dress. Et voila. It's like a stylish mumu. I could be hiding a small child under there, and no one would ever know...

Two Simple Requests...

I'm not a huge Idol fan, but this year I'm really pulling for Haley. I've even downloaded a few of her songs in iTunes already. Last night she wore this amazing tank:

I almost forgot the second request: Dear Lord, since Haley's tank is sold out, would you mind giving me her voice instead????

 **As I'm typing this I'm imagining Arielle losing her voice after having it stolen by big, fat Ursula (which in this case would be me, I suppose). On second thought, Lord, I'm happy with what I've got. I'll just glue some feathers to an old shirt and take voice lessons. Thanks. 

My Work Wardrobe Needs Some Help...

I'm switching gears a bit today and focusing on wardrobe. My reasoning for this is that I'm realizing that I'm in need of business casual clothing; I probably have a dozen suits, but they're all falling apart from four years in sales. For the spring and summer, I'd prefer to wear dresses anyways. I picked out a few from ASOS. I like these because because I could easily wear them in the office with either a cardigan or blazer, but I'd also wear them outside of work. 

I would also LOVE to purchase an anorak. *Don't worry, Mr. Frankel, I'm not going to. Just looking! I'd like one with a "stand up" collar and a detachable hood. As with the dresses, I'd want something that I could wear at work and outside as well. Here are a few that I'm loving:

Get Gwyneth's Look

Since the Grammy's I have not been able to get Gwyneth's pink feather earrings out of my mind!!! Of course they're not for everyday wear, but I still would love to own a pair. The ones that Gwyneth wore are out of my price range, but I did find two inexpensive options!
