I think I've finally decided on a light fixture for our office (though it may be awhile before I find an affordable one, so things could change). The room has five recessed lights, so I haven't been in a rush to put something in there.
Notice the empty space on the ceiling...
I've decided I want a sputnik chandelier of the brass variety. I'm not wavering on the sputnik decision, but the "brass" is not set in stone. Most of the brass ones I've found are vintage (i.e. expensive), but they're oh so beautiful:

I'm planning on going the ebay route:

The chrome and nickel ones are beautiful as well though....
Decisions, decisions...
Oh, and I think I'll be putting my "Tie" poster on the big, blank wall behind the desk once it's framed. Eventually I'd love to put an art gallery sconce above it. Something like this:

So what do you think? Am I making a mistake if I go with the brass? I've been on a major brass kick lately, but I don't think it's something I'll tire of quickly...
XOXO,
Kelly
I think with sputnik chandeliers, they're so mid-century that brass is kind of what makes them, ya know? I say go for it!
