Kate Spade World

I mentioned a few nights ago that I wanted to live in a "Kate Spade" world, one full of sparkles, bright colors, metallics, stripes, polka dots, and all things fancy. I've been thinking quite a bit about the world I'd like to create. With the help of Kate Spade ads, I've started drafting the principles and ideals on which my "world" will be founded:

Pom pom hats and cocktails will always be acceptable accessories.

Confetti will be considered "foliage".

Desserts (cakes and cupcakes, mainly) will be considered acceptable, nutritional meals (no matter the time of day). *Did I mention they'll be calorie-free?

All high heels will be comfortable and staples for a proper wardrobe.

Technology (GPS devices and the like) won't matter; if you get lost, at least you'll be in style.

Gift wrapping parties will be a normal occurrence.

Handsome, musically-talented men will always be on hand to play you a song they've written especially for you.

You won't really need a camera to "capture a moment" because everything in the world I'm creating will be beautiful- at all times.

Over-accessorizing with baubles and jewels will be strongly encouraged.

Blogging will be done on vintage typewriters; the posts will magically make their way to the www.

Sunbathing with colorful tights and ballet flats will be perfectly acceptable.

*This is the one photo I need to edit for my "KS world". You see, my T-rex will be gold, just like the one I have, AND NO ONE WILL MAKE FUN OF ME FOR HAVING A GOLDEN T-REX.

Holiday decorating will be acceptable in every room, throughout the entire year.

Run out of room in your closet? No matter, we'll just have hooks on our homes for our handbags!

Most importantly, everyone will have their own dictionary and thesaurus (crocodile embossed leather, of course).

So, what do you think? I'm really liking the direction things are headed. Don't worry, I know I may sound like a bit of a dictator with all the principles and "rules", but I promise you wouldn't mind. We'd call it a Kellytatorship.

*No, I'm not insane. Yes, I have an overactive imagination.

XOXO,

Kelly

  3. Can we please all be issued one of those polka dotted thermoses (it's in the picture with the musically talented man) to drink warm drinks out of at all times?
