Fine China: Mix & Match It!!!

For our wedding, I registered for Kate Spade's Pebble Point China:

I absolutely LOVE it!!!! I think we ended up receiving four or five sets. For now, that's more than enough! Eventually, though, I'd like to add to our collection and have service for twelve. Instead of purchasing more of the Pebble Point, I'd like to branch out and find a coordinating pattern. Mixing and matching of china adds interest to any table setting (my MIL and EDDIE ROSS would be so proud to hear me say that)!

Some of the contenders include:

This Wedgewood set is probably too much, but I included it because it's gorgeous!

This Villeroy and Boch is also probably too much given the simplicity of the Pebble Point. Still lovely!

AND, drumroll please, my #1 choice:

Let's not stop here. How about flatware:

Mine:
Pottery Barn Mother-of-Pearl Flatware
(Discontinued, I think)

What I'm going to add with it:

Gold Bamboo Flatware!!!! *I'll be looking for mine on Ebay!

I like the idea of mixing golds and silvers (china and flatware alike). What do you think??!!

XOXO,

Kelly

  5. I just did our holiday table (pics here: http://anonystyle.blogspot.com/2011/01/belated-holiday-post.html ) with Mom's gold bamboo flatware...still so lovely after 37 years! Although the gold has started to wear a bit on some of the pieces. She wants to get it redone, but I sort of like the aged look. I'll find out who made it.

LOVE your Vera Wang china pick! SO cool!
